Boston Baked Beans

Nice way to heat the kitchen on a chilly day.

Serves 8

Ingredients:

Directions:

Soak the beans in the water overnight in large soup pot.

Next morning simmer the beans for about one hour, until just soft.

Drain. Pour drained beans into a large oven dish with a lid.

Mix together the sugar, salt, mustard, and molasses.

Pour over the beans. Stir in the pork.

Add enough water to cover. Put lid on.

Bake at 350°F for three hours.

Uncover, add hot water if beans look dry.

Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
