John Adams was the son of a farmer in Massachusetts..

He went to Harvard and became a lawyer

John Adams married Abigail Smith and they had six children.

He wrote essays and resolutions against the English rulership of the American Colonies.

John Adams helped to draft the Declaration of Independence.

When the colonies won the Revolutionary War, John Adams helped to build the new government.

He was elected Vice President while George Washington was President.

He was then elected to become the second United States President.

His son, John Quincey Adams became the sixth president of the United States.
