Linus Pauling was born and raised in Oregon. He got his chemical engineering degree in Oregon, then went to California for his Doctorate degrees.

Linus Pauling was a chemist. He explored new areas in chemistry such as the nucleus and orbits in atoms. He also studied how atoms bond together to form molecules.

Linus Pauling earned two Nobel Prizes for his work in chemistry and for his work in advocating peace and opposing the Nuclear bomb.

Linus Pauling wrote many books and scientific papers.

As a scientist, Linus Pauling advocated the use of Vitamin C and other vitamins and minerals in the human body.
